Between our valuers we have well over 80 years of valuing experience and if that’s not enough, all of our valuers hold relevant qualifications awarded by our Professional Body – Propertymark.

In arriving at our valuation, Harris Shields Collection valuers consider many aspects that may affect the value of your property. We’ll consider how your home stacks up against other similar homes that are on the market or which have sold recently. We’ll look through the buyer’s eyes and consider demand for your property type, local area, school catchment area, broadband speed and how the market is moving in general. We’ll consider location and condition and make suggestions how you may make your property attractive to potential buyers because, after all, your property is not the only one on the market.

Based on the above, we’ll be honest with our valuation and won’t just tell you what you want to hear. Many agents overvalue to win your business and over-valued property doesn’t attract the right amount of interest in that all important initial 6 weeks after the property comes onto the market.

Our brochure has TEN photographs complemented by a concise description. We include a location map, because there’s nothing more frustrating than driving round street after street unable to find a property. The finishing touch is that all important full colour floor plan which allows buyers to see how the property is laid out, with room dimensions, which help encourage your buyers to visualise how the property will match their needs. On-line marketing is the singularly most effective means of alerting potential buyers to your property. By far the most important on-line portal is Rightmove and naturally, your home will feature heavily on Rightmove… but we don’t stop there; we also use On The Market, Facebook and Twitter to ensure your property is seen by the maximum number of potential buyers. Our own website drives this online digital marketing presence which is why it’s relevant, fresh, easy to navigate and attractive to use.
