Shop locally! Scarbrough has its big supermarkets but it also prides itself on supplying fresh produce from independent businesses.

Within the city centre of Scarborough, you will find a range of independent fresh produce businesses, Scarborough Market hall has Solange bakery, Nockles LTD butchers and All seasons wholesale fruit & veg and more. On West Pier is an independent fish mongers Cod & Lobster, one of the last few supplying fresh fish and shellfish to customers.

North Yorkshire Water Park

North Yorkshire Water Park, at Wykeham Lakes outskirts of Scarborough, is home to one of the largest natural water sports lakes in North Yorkshire. The Water Park, spanning 250 hectares, offers a range of fun-filled activities suitable for the whole family!

A range of land activities, Zipline, climbing wall, fishing and cycling, water activities: wipeout, kayaking and paddle boarding.

Take a break at Peasholm Park

Located in Scarborough’s North Bay, Peasholm Park is a great place to stop when exploring the town. The park, which was designed according to an oriental theme, has been restored to its original splendour and includes a tranquil lake where visitors can hire small rowing boats and pedalos to explore the area. There is a small island in the heart of the lake, connected via a small bridge leading to an impressive Chinese-style pagoda.

On a rainy day - Olympia Leisure

On a rainy day, Olympia Leisure is the place to be if you happen to visit Scarborough on a rainy day. There are plenty of things to do, Scarborough boasts several great arcades where the whole family can have a good time and Olympia is definitely one of them.

The complex includes a wide collection of arcade games on the ground floor, including penny pushers, slot machines, video games and children's rides while upstairs, the bowling alley with its 12 lanes and the go-kart track is perfect for teens (and adults too). The bar on the premises is perfect for a small break from the madness.
